Conditions: 50 degrees; calm, average seeing

Exposures: 75 min each of Ha (3nm), S2, and O3 (5 x15 min subs)

FOV = 96 x 65 arc minutes

Color Processed using Hubble Palette: hydrogen alpha (green), ionized sulfur (red) and doubly ionized oxygen (blue).

NGC 6357 is an emission nebula located about 8000 light-years away. Often called the Lobster or Southern Crab nebula because of its crab-like shape.
