NGC 457 (also known as the Owl Cluster) is an open cluster. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1787. NGC 457 comprises over 150 stars with visual magnitudes between 12-15 (very dim) and has an estimated age of 21 million years.

Distance: 7,900 light years
