Notes:

Exposures: 240 min of Ha (15 min subs) ; 60 min each RGB (in 5 minute sub exposures) for a total of 7 hrs

The cone's shape comes from a dark absorption nebula consisting of cold molecular hydrogen and dust in front of a faint hydrogen nebula containing hydrogen ionized by the bright star S Monocerotis. The dark nebula is approximately seven light-years long.
