The Lagoon nebula (M8) imaged from the backyard under very good conditions sans a rising 3rd quarter moon on 7/31/18. Imaged through a Takahashi FSQ106 refractor using a ZWOASI1600MC-Pro color CMOS camera (and a CLS blocking filter). Exposures: 9 x 10 min. This is a link to the set-up. Targeted this image to see how well the camera detected and balanced color from suburban skies. M8 spent most of the night low in the south - the brightest area of the sky from my backyard.
