Exposures: 60 min Lum (15 x 4 min subs); 28 min each RGB (7 x 4 min subs 2x2 binned)
FOV = 126 x 85 arc minutes
M31 is 2.5 million light years away and is the dominant galaxy in our local group together with M32 and M110 two bright elliptical dwarf galaxies (also shown). Spectral studies show M31 to be approaching us at about 100km/sec.
