Exposure times ranged from 1/5000 sec (bottom left) to 4 seconds (top right) at ISO 400.
Sequence started at 2:25 on morning of October 8, 2014 and ended at 3:40. Eclipse did not end until nearly an hour later; however trees to the west of the observatory blocked the moon after 3:45. Each of the 6 images in this composite were selected form the best set of frames covering a wide range of exposure times and separated by 10 minutes. 120 images were obtained over 75 minutes.
This is the second of four lunar eclipse tetrads occurring in 2014 and 2015. The final two lunar eclipses to complete the foursome will occur on April 4, 2015 and September 28, 2015. Click here to see the prior April 2014 eclipse.
