Exposures: 150 min Ha, 120 min OIII, 105 min SII (15 min subs) for total of 6 hrs 15 min

This emission nebula spans 100 light years across. Imaged through narrowband filters to capture the hydrogen and doubly ionized oxygen emissions surrounding an open cluster.

Color mapped using the Hubble palette with Ha = green; OIII = blue; and SII = red

IC 417 is 10,000 light years away.
