IC1871 an emission nebula located in the Eastern portion of the larger object known as the Soul Nebula (SH2-199, LBN 667 or IC 1848). Narrowband filters bring out the ionized hydrogen and sulfur to create the brilliant yellow, red, and orange hues with ionized oxygen appearing as blue.
