Site: Anza Borrego Desert
Temp: 40 degrees, mild winds, excellent seeing

This complex region of glowing interstellar gas and dark dust clouds spans nearly 200 light-years. Known as the Heart Nebula, it lies about 7,500 light-years away in the Perseus arm of the Milky Way. The open cluster near the center is Melotte 15 a region containing young hot stars.
