Constellation: Canis Maj
Distance: 4,500 light years
Notes: This nebula was formed by powerful stellar winds from a Wolf-Rayet star (EZ Can Maj). EZ Can Maj began shedding its outer layers 70,000 years ago releasing ionized hydrogen and oxygen emissions from its outer layers forming this "bubble-like" nebula.
