Notes:
This giant supernova remnant formed approximately 10,000 years ago when a star, 20x the mass of the sun, exploded. The Cygnus Loop (aka Veil nebula) has 3 main sections: 1. Eastern Veil (NGC6992; left in this image); 2. Western Veil (NGC6960; right in this image), and 3. Pickering's Triangle (NGC6974).

Date: 7/14 and 7/15/23
Location: Lockwood Observatories, Descanso, CA
Telescope: Rokinon 135mm lens at f/4;  Guided through a Takahashi FSQ 106 with STi guide camera.
Camera: ASI 294mm pro with Astronomik 6nm Ha, RGB filters and Antlia 3nm OIII filter
Mount: AP 1100 CP3
Exposure times: Ha: 15 x 15 min; OIII: 12 x 15 min;  RGB 7 x 7 min each
Exposure time total: 8 hrs 30 min
Notes:
Color processed by assigning Ha to red and OIII to blue and green.  RGB data applied to stars only for color.

FOV = 4.67 deg x 3.43 degrees
